Wisdom Bridge connects care home residents with people who want to learn from their experience — online, supervised, and always free.
Wisdom Bridge lets you mentor someone who could benefit from your experience — whether that's your career, your hobbies, the things you've navigated, or simply the way you see the world. Sessions happen entirely through messages on Same Street, at your own pace, and you're in control throughout. You can pause or stop at any time.
All online
Sessions happen through messages. No video calls, no travel, no pressure.
You're in control
Your care team is kept informed and you can pause or stop whenever you like.
Free, always
Wisdom Bridge is free for every resident on Same Street. No catches.
Wisdom Bridge gives your residents a supervised, structured way to share their knowledge and experience with people in the wider community. It's online, free, and designed with care home settings in mind — including residents with fluctuating capacity.
You set the eligibility level for each resident on your dashboard. Residents marked not currently eligible never see the mentoring option.
Three-gate consent
Resident consent, staff confirmation, and monthly check-ins — every pairing requires all three.
Staff oversight
You're notified at every stage and hold final authority over all pairing decisions.
Audit trail
Every eligibility decision is logged with timestamp and staff ID.
We work directly with care home managers and activity coordinators to get Wisdom Bridge set up. Get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
Contact usIf your loved one's care home has Wisdom Bridge, they may be able to mentor others online — sharing what they know at their own pace. Their care team assesses whether it's appropriate for them and confirms every pairing. You'll be notified if they start mentoring, and you can always contact us with any questions.
Care team confirmed
Every resident is assessed by their care team before they can take part.
You're kept informed
If your loved one starts mentoring, you'll receive a notification through Same Street or by email.

A resident joins
They opt in through their Same Street profile. Their care team is notified and confirms it's appropriate.
A match is made
We find a wisdom seeker whose interests match the resident's experience. Both are introduced through the platform.
Sessions begin
They exchange messages at their own pace. The resident's care team can see that a pairing is active and can pause or end it at any time.
Knowledge shared
Wisdom seekers can leave thank-you notes that appear on the mentor's profile. The resident's contribution is recognised.
Every Wisdom Bridge mentor goes through a structured application — including a written interview with sector-specific questions reviewed by our team. We don't just take someone's word for it.
We checked their professional registration against the relevant UK register.
We reviewed career documents — such as a P60, pension statement, or employment letter.
We verified their identity through photo ID.
Not every mentor will have a badge — verification is an ongoing process. Mentors without a badge have completed a written interview reviewed by our team.
